Gunmen Abduct Three In Enugu Health College
Gunmen on Thursday abducted three persons in Enugu State College of Health Technology in Oji River Local Government Area of the state.
Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, confirmed on Saturday that the police are actively investigating an abduction case at a local health college. According to Ndukwe, the Oji River Division swiftly responded to reports of the incident, successfully rescuing two victims. However, three others remain missing, and an intensive search operation is underway to locate them and apprehend the suspects.
DSP Ndukwe emphasized that initial findings indicate the victims were ambushed while leaving the college premises. He also addressed a misleading viral video that falsely claimed a large-scale kidnapping at the institution, condemning it as a deliberate attempt to incite fear and confusion.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, has directed law enforcement to prioritize the safe recovery of the missing individuals and the arrest of those responsible. Ndukwe warned the public against spreading unverified information on social media, as such actions could hinder ongoing police efforts and cause unnecessary panic.
