In a chilling raid on Matusji village, Talata Mafara local government area of Zamfara State, over 10 community members, including a patient still on an IV drip, have been abducted by heavily armed bandits. The terrifying assault occurred around 2:30 am on Friday, shattering the silence of the night with sporadic gunfire. "We were jolted awake by the gunshots and fled in panic," recounted villager Ahmad Babangida. While no lives were lost, the abductees were whisked away to an unknown location, leaving the community in shock and fear. The assailants have yet to make any ransom demands, deepening the villagers' anxiety. Disturbingly, there was no response from security forces during the attack. ASP Yazeed Abubakar, the state police spokesperson, confirmed the abduction and assured that tactical police teams have been deployed to rescue the victims and apprehend the culprits.
