Fubara swears in 5 new commissioners, 2 special advisers
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has inaugurated five new commissioners and two special advisers, urging them to focus on achieving the administration’s goals and enhancing governance.
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has officially inaugurated five new commissioners and two special advisers into the state executive council. The newly appointed commissioners are Mr. Ilamu Abua, Dr. Roland Obed-Whyte, Mr. Austin Nadozie, Mr. Samuel Eyiba, and Dr. Samuel Anya. Meanwhile, Mr. Forgive Amachree and Mr. Achor Nna have been appointed as special advisers.
During the ceremony, Governor Fubara emphasized the critical role of the new appointees in advancing his administration’s goals. He highlighted the need for them to focus on achieving the administration's objectives and to remain steadfast despite any potential distractions.
“The task before you is to work diligently towards fulfilling the aspirations of the Rivers people,” Fubara stated. “Consider your appointments as a chance to contribute meaningfully to the state rather than to pursue personal economic benefits.”
He encouraged the new officials to bring forward innovative ideas that would enhance governance and improve the lives of the citizens. “Governance is fundamentally about delivering quality, people-centered services. Our mission is to elevate the quality of life for our people,” he added.
The governor assured that his administration is committed to fulfilling its promises and justifying the trust placed in it by the people of Rivers State.
