Former Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello Summoned by FCT Court Over N110.4 Billion Fraud Case

A High Court in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has ordered former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, to appear in court on October 24 to face new charges from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The EFCC has filed a 16-count charge against Bello and two others, accusing them of mismanaging N110.4 billion.

The EFCC informed the court that it had been unable to serve the charges on Bello, leading the judge, Justice Maryanne Anenih, to issue a public summons. The court also directed the EFCC to publish the summons in a national newspaper and display it at Bello’s last known address and around the court.
