The release, titled “Unexpected Sunset,” shared the devastating news:
"It is with deep sorrow that we inform the people of Akwa Ibom and beyond of the passing of Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, the cherished wife of our Governor. After a period of illness, she transitioned peacefully on September 26th, 2024, surrounded by her family in a hospital. The family submits to the will of God in this moment of great pain and calls for the prayers and support of kind souls during this period of mourning."
