FG set to introduce Technology that combats Fire

According to Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the interior minister, the federal government has implemented new technologies to guarantee prompt response to fire emergencies nationwide. This was revealed by Mr. Tunji-Ojo on Friday in Abuja during a High Level Media Parley to commemorate his one-year in office. He claimed that implementing state-of-the-art technologies that would significantly speed up reaction times in the case of a fire was one of his main goals when he first took office. Reducing response times and making sure the Federal Fire Service (FFS) is better equipped to handle crises quickly and efficiently were two of our top priorities.

According to him, the agency had carried out a number of community outreach initiatives to make sure that people had the information they needed to stop fires before they started. According to him, these programs have so far greatly decreased the number of fire incidents that have occurred nationwide. In order to establish a more coordinated approach to disaster response nationwide, we have taken decisive action to improve interagency cooperation, especially with state and municipal fire departments. He stated, “These collaborations have improved operational effectiveness, allowing us to react to fire outbreaks and other emergencies more quickly and efficiently.”
