FG lifts ban on Arik Air
The federal government had suspended Arik Air's operations; however, they have now resumed. Michael Achimugu, the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) reveals.
Arik Air's activities have resumed after being suspended by the federal government. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority's (NCAA) Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, revealed the news. This occurs more than a week after an argument between Atlas Petroleum and Arik Air resulted in the airline's aircraft being grounded.
Achimugu asserted that the dispute has been settled, nevertheless. "The standoff between Arik Air and Atlas Petroleum has been successfully resolved by the DG of NCAA, Capt. Chris Najomo, and the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo SAN," he declared. This resolution will allow Arik Air to start up today. "Ensuring all passengers have safe and secure air travel continues to be the top priority for the Minister and the NCAA. "Passengers on Arik Air are currently registering for scheduled flights." The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) said on July 30 that it has grounded a few Arik Air aircraft in compliance with a federal high court decision.
However, the ban has now been lifted.
