In honor of the nation’s 64th Independence Day, the federal government has proclaimed Tuesday, October 1, 2024, a public holiday. On behalf of the Federal Government, Interior Minister Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo made the announcement and congratulated Nigerians both domestically and internationally. The patient and diligent Nigerian men and women were commended by Dr. Tunji-Ojo, who said that their efforts will not go unappreciated. The Minister, who aligned himself with the anniversary’s theme, emphasized the importance of Nigerians reflecting on the sacrifices made by our heroes in the past and being motivated for the work ahead, as we must come together to build the Nigeria of our dreams.
