Falz Shares His Awkward Date Experience

Nigerian rapper Falz recently opened up about his most awkward date experience during an appearance on the Cocktails and Takeaways podcast with Madame Joyce. He shared that during a date in Nigeria, his companion asked him to order takeout for her entire family.

Falz recounted, “She wanted takeaway for each family member—different portions. I came here on a date with you, not the whole family. It was strange, but I thought, what if they’re really hungry?”

Reflecting on the experience, he admitted it made him reconsider their compatibility, stating, “There are things a person says during a date that tell you whether to continue talking to them or not.”

Falz also dismissed the idea that men know their future spouse from the first date, adding, “To this day, there’s no one I can say I’m ready to marry. I haven’t reached that point yet.”
