Facebook and Instagram now support cross-posting to threads

Facebook and Instagram cross-posting is now supported on Threads, Meta's alternative to Twitter/X.

This new cross-posting feature is now live in all markets where Threads is available, according to Meta.

Since you need an Instagram account to utilize Threads, the two platforms are now tightly connected. Instagram profiles that are linked to Threads accounts can also be seen, and vice versa.

Users can now choose to share their newly created Instagram posts to their Threads account.

In addition to Facebook, automatic sharing to Threads can also be set up in Advanced Settings.

Along with linked Instagram accounts, Facebook also offers a similar option to share posts to Threads. It is also possible to activate Threads sharing automatically, just like on Instagram.

Not only has Threads surpassed 200 million active monthly users, but Meta has also added new capabilities for power users including scheduling, multiple drafts, and insights.

Right now, Threads is still the most reliable substitute for Twitter/X, and its connections with Meta's other social media channels are a big plus.

You might have also noticed that Meta has begun to promote some Threads postings on Facebook and Instagram if you use these social media sites. It is still feasible for Threads users to prevent public postings from being recommended on Facebook and Instagram.
