“Every man I’ve ever been with cheated, I never left because of it” – Tiwa Savage

Renowned Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has sparked a wave of conversations with her unexpected take on infidelity in relationships. In a candid interview on Spotify's Receipts Podcast, the African Bad Gyal shared a perspective that challenges traditional views, admitting that cheating is not a dealbreaker for her.  

Opening up about her personal experiences, Tiwa revealed, “I’ve been cheated on before. I found out and forgave every time. Every man I’ve ever been with has cheated, and I’ve never left them because of it. I’ve left for other reasons, but not because they cheated. Cheating is not my hill.”  

While her tolerance for infidelity may come as a surprise, Tiwa drew a firm line when it comes to dishonesty and disrespect, stating these traits are harder for her to overlook.  

The singer delved deeper, framing infidelity as a recurring aspect of human relationships throughout history. She explained, “I know you say it’s bad that we’ve gotten to a point where cheating isn’t a dealbreaker. But I feel like we’ve always been here—even back in the day, even going back to the Bible and history.”
