The Enugu State Government has confirmed a Cholera outbreak, urging residents to take precautions. Prof. Emmanuel Obi, the Health Commissioner, explained that the disease, spread through contaminated food and water, causes severe diarrhea and can be fatal without treatment. The government, in collaboration with the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), is taking measures to control the spread.
Residents are advised to practice proper hygiene, use clean water, and report any cases of sudden watery diarrhea to the nearest health facility. Emergency contacts have been provided for assistance.
