#EndBadGovernanceProtest: MTN Under attack over poor Network
On protest day, the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria demonstrators are attacking the federal government and MTN, one of Nigeria's network providers, on the "street of social media" due to bad network performance.
Due to the disconnection of users from the network over the weekend, Nigerians besieged MTN offices across the country on Monday. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) ordered the instant reconnection of users, accusing the network provider of working with the federal government to thwart planned protest attempts.
All MTN stores nationwide were compelled to close immediately due to Nigeria's actions. On this D-day of the protest, internet users on X have once more accused MTN of working with the federal government to sabotage the demonstration by causing problems with network connectivity.
Among the responses on X are: @Choji_ES: "The MTN network is suddenly really bad and weak as an erection. Nigerian government, you are capable of more. This cheap pranks won't help the situation at all."
