#EndBadGovernance: Tinubu meets with Wike
Following the turn of events from the protest, President Tinubu met with Wike to strategize
Amidst the current #EndBadGovernance protests in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu met with Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
Their meeting took place at a time when social unrest in the capital was at an all-time high, however the exact nature of their purpose remained undisclosed. There were protests in the FCT in a number of locations, most notably the Central Area close to Eagle Square.
Security agencies issued warnings, but protesters persisted in occupying the space.
Prior to the protests, a court injunction had restricted them to the Moshood Abiola Stadium. However, the demonstrators marched from the stadium to Eagle Square, severely disrupting traffic and business in the Central Area.
According to reports, Wike and President Tinubu met because of the protests, and during their discussion, they allegedly talked about how to properly handle the turmoil.
