#EndBadGovernance Protest: Kano Commercial Sex workers laments Decline in Patronage

Kano State's commercial sex workers have urged the national hunger protest organizers to hold talks with the federal government. They claimed that their social and business endeavors had been severely disrupted by the protest, leaving them without clients and fighting for survival.

According to Monica James, the only way to resolve the protesters' complaints is via dialogue. "I haven't eaten in two days due to the curfew," she remarked. As a result, she pleaded with the protest organizers to call off the protests and engage in negotiations with the government. Deborah Iliya on Yoruba Road called the state of affairs appalling.

Joining the increasing chorus of people demanding a return to normalcy, Hannatu Ibrahim of the Weather Head area also demanded an end to the protest.

Operating out of a brothel on Sabon Gari's Enugu Street, Caroline James claimed that the protest that followed the hoodlums' invasion "spoilt our business." She claimed that although she had scheduled clients who were prepared to pay between N30,000 and N40,000, the tension and curfew prevented them from keeping their appointments.

An unnamed sex worker claimed that because there weren't enough customers during the protest, some of her coworkers were forced to share rooms.
