#EndBadGovernance: Police Arrest 64, Recovers Looted Goods From Protesters In Katsina
While the #EndBadGovernance in Nigeria protest tempo lowers today, the day 3, some protesters have been arrested in some parts of Nigeria, and the police have also announced recovery of some looted goods in Katsina.
According to the Katsina State Police Command, after a violent demonstration broke out in the state, their officers made 64 arrests and found 693 sacks of fertilizer.
In a message to reporters, the Command's Police Public Relations Officer, Sadiq Aliyu, said that while no lives were lost during the protest, a government fertilizer warehouse was vandalized.
Aliyu continued, saying that the Command found sacks of fertilizer and detained 64 people they believed to be vandals.
The Katsina police spokesperson went on to say that inquiries were still being conducted to ascertain the incident's circumstances. Since the curfew was implemented and protests were outlawed statewide by acting governor Faruq Lawal, peace and normalcy have once again returned to the state. To enforce curfews, security personnel were also positioned strategically throughout the state.
