#EndBadGovernance: Kano State Government Relaxes Curfew

According to the Kano State government, the state's curfew is currently in effect from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. During a broadcast in Kano on Sunday, Malam Baba Dantiye, the state commissioner for information and strategy, made this announcement. He claimed that the curfew was changed to help the state return to normal. For everyone's protection during the ongoing nationwide protest, the state administration implemented a 24-hour curfew throughout the whole state.

According to Dantiye, the state's governor, Abba Yusuf, sent his sympathies to the families of those who lost loved ones and belongings in the violent protest. He said that the governor told everyone in the state to be back to their houses by 2:00 p.m., promising to reconsider the curfew "as soon as possible."

He said that the governor promised to reassess the curfew "as the security situation improves" and advised the state's citizens to return to their various homes by 2:00 p.m.

According to him, the governor also urged the people of the state to keep praying for harmony, advancement, and political stability both within the state and throughout the country.

The program states that easing the curfew is a step in the direction of returning things to normal. Nevertheless, the state administration is adamant that it would keep an eye on things and guarantee everyone's safety.
