#EndBadGovernance: Children leads protest in Taraba

In a rare instance of young activism, kids and teenagers (8–13 years old) staged a demonstration on Thursday afternoon in the Jalingo streets of Taraba, Northeastern Nigeria, against the current state of injustice and hunger.

To call attention to the difficulties they face, the kids chant, "Bamu ai, bamu ai," which translates to, "We don't agree, we don't agree." The demonstration started on the well-traveled Hamaruwa Way and moved toward the city's famous flyover bridge.

The participants, who were mostly kids and teens, voiced their complaints and insisted on getting help right away in order to end their misery.

According to news reporters who followed the events, members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the police kept a careful eye on the demonstrators.
