Eminent Music Denies Nasboi’s Alleged Signing with D’banj’s CREAM

Recently, there were rumors circulating on social media that Afrobeats star Nasboi had signed with a new platform. According to various digital blogs, the singer was said to have been signed by CREAM Platform, a company owned by Nigerian music icon D’banj, which offers distribution and gaming services.

However, this news has been debunked by Eminent Music in a press release stating that Nasboi is still contractually bound to their label. In the statement shared by Nasboi on his social media, he clarified that his partnership with D’banj’s CREAM is in an ambassadorship capacity while he remains signed to Eminent Music and ONErpm.

Eminent Music addressed the situation: “Our attention has been drawn to a publication circulating in social and print media that has been widely misconstrued. It incorrectly claims that our artist, Afrobeats star Nasboi, has signed with the CREAM Platform, a DIY distribution and gaming service owned by Nigerian Music icon D’banj. We would like to state emphatically that this news is inaccurate. Nasboi has been signed to our label since February 2023, and his remarkable musical journey is exclusively distributed by the globally reputable company ONErpm, whose support and partnership are both crucial and respected by the Eminent Music family.

It is important to note that Nasboi is a celebrated entertainer known for his unique style and versatile artistry. His talents have made him a sought-after content creator and influencer for both local and international brands. The nature of his work as a content creator/influencer often requires him to collaborate with various platforms to achieve their goals. However, regarding his successful and ever-evolving musical career, Nasboi remains contractually signed to Eminent Music and ONErpm.

The public is encouraged to treat this statement as the truth and to recognize its validity. We regret any confusion caused by the circulating publication, particularly to our partners at ONErpm and all the admirers of the label’s work, as well as Nasboi’s fans.

The relationship between Eminent Music and Nasboi is stronger than ever. Under the label’s guidance, he has released the hit-filled EP ‘INIT,’ headlined a historic sold-out concert in December 2024, and recently secured a well-deserved Headies Next Rated nomination.”
