EFCC Re-Arrests Bobrisky at Lagos Airport Amid Attempt to Leave Nigeria
Nigerian social media star Bobrisky was re-arrested by the EFCC at Lagos’s international airport while attempting to board a London-bound flight, following a recent release on bail.
On October 31, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) detained social media figure Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, at Lagos’s Murtala Mohammed International Airport. The arrest happened just before Bobrisky’s flight to London departed, with authorities reportedly halting the plane and escorting him off in front of passengers.
Isaac Fayose, a fellow passenger and brother to former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, confirmed the incident and shared photos on social media, criticizing the timing of the re-arrest.
