Eedris Abdulkareem Drops Bold Diss Track Targeted at President Tinubu and Son

Veteran Nigerian rapper and activist Eedris Abdulkareem is once again using his voice to speak truth to power. The outspoken music icon has released a fiery new diss track titled Tell Your Papa,” calling out President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his son, Seyi Tinubu. This is a response to the current socio-economic struggles Nigerians are facing. Eedris AbdulKareem drops diss track with a powerful message for the nation.

The track, which comes shortly after Eedris celebrated his wedding anniversary, is a raw and unapologetic commentary. It focuses on the growing hunger, insecurity, and economic hardship across the country. In his signature conscious rap style, he accuses the president of making “too many empty promises.” Moreover, he points out the president’s failure to act on the urgent needs of the people. Eedris AbdulKareem drops diss track expressing his frustrations.

Aimed directly at Seyi Tinubu, Eedris challenges the younger Tinubu to “Tell your papa” how Nigerians are suffering. “Seyi, people are hungry… I swear, your papa no try,” he raps. He also criticizes Seyi’s frequent use of private jets and luxurious lifestyle which he says disconnects him from the realities of everyday Nigerians. In the accompanying video, Abdulkareem calls for politicians and their children to travel by road to experience what the masses endure daily.

The rapper also gave a shout-out to social commentator VeryDarkMan for his advocacy work. Promoting the single on Instagram, Eedris wrote:

Eedris Abdulkareem has long been known for his politically charged music, dating back to his 2004 classic Jaga Jaga,” which criticized corruption in Nigeria. This track sparked major controversy. Despite facing backlash over the years, he has remained a fearless voice for the voiceless. With Tell Your Papa,” Eedris once again proves that music can be a powerful tool for activism.
