DSS Arrests Ogun PDP Governorship Candidate Ladi Adebutu Over Alleged Electoral Misconduct
DSS detains Ogun PDP governorship candidate Ladi Adebutu over allegations of electoral misconduct during the state’s local government elections.
The Department of State Services (DSS) in Ogun State has detained Ladi Adebutu, the 2023 governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in connection with the recent local government election. Adebutu is accused of deploying 40 unauthorized policemen from Lagos’ MOPOL 49 and allegedly attempting to snatch ballot boxes alongside armed PDP supporters.
PDP Publicity Secretary Kayode Adebayo confirmed the arrest, stating that efforts to secure Adebutu’s bail have so far been unsuccessful. Party members have been urged to remain calm while the matter unfolds.
