Renowned Nollywood actor Dele Odule has spoken out to debunk false reports about his death, which recently went viral on social media. The Dele Odule death rumors have caused quite a stir online.
Taking to Instagram on February 19, 2025, the 63-year-old veteran actor shared a video message, reassuring fans that he is alive and in good health while expressing disappointment over the spread of malicious misinformation. He specifically addressed the Dele Odule death rumors in his message to ensure everyone knows the truth.

He stated;
“I just want to debunk a rumor that has been circulating these past few days. A false report claiming I was dead has been making the rounds, and I am here to set the record straight—I am alive and well. I don’t understand why someone would wish me dead. This is barbaric and terrible.”
Calls Out Fake News Culture
Frustrated by the continued spread of falsehoods, Dele Odule also recalled a previous instance where he was falsely accused of being arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison.The spread of Dele Odule death rumors has highlighted the negative impact of fake news on individuals.
“This is just like when a fake report claimed I had been sentenced to 10 years for a crime I never committed, using a picture of a Black Maria. This is not right! Are you people okay? Don’t try me—if you do, you’re fighting God.”
Following his video, many of Dele Odule’s fans and colleagues flooded the comment section with messages of support and frustration over social media misinformation.
