Deji Adeyanju slams Burna boy over Speed Darlington’s rearrest
Deji Adeyanju slams Burna Boy over Speed Darlington’s arrest, accusing the artist of hypocrisy and using influence to oppress the rapper.
Renowned lawyer and human rights advocate, Deji Adeyanju, has criticized Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy over the recent rearrest of controversial rapper Speed Darlington.
Reports suggest that Speed Darlington’s legal troubles stem from his outspoken remarks about Burna Boy’s Grammy achievements and his association with embattled American rapper, Sean “Diddy” Combs. The rapper’s arrest in Imo State, shortly after his return to Nigeria, has ignited speculation and debate among fans.
Addressing the issue, Adeyanju took to Facebook to call out Burna Boy, accusing him of hypocrisy and using his influence to oppress Speed Darlington.
His post read: *“Burna Boy is behind the police harassment of Speed Darlington. This is someone who sings against oppression, claiming to channel Fela, but now oppresses Akpi.”*
The comments have fueled discussions about Burna Boy’s public persona versus his actions, with many questioning whether he truly upholds the values he often promotes in his music.
