Nigerian Afrobeat sensation Davido was recently seen among a lineup of top artists at Asake’s 'Lungu Boy' tour concert in Atlanta, Georgia. The sold-out event, held at the 17,000-capacity State Farm Arena, kicked off on August 16, 2024, and marks the beginning of Asake’s 10-day tour across the United States.
In a viral video circulating on social media, Davido was spotted backstage alongside American rapper Quavo, showing their support for Asake's electrifying performance. The star-studded audience also included Nigerian hitmaker Zlatan and American rapper Russ Millions, further highlighting the concert's high-profile appeal.
Asake’s 'Lungu Boy' tour is set to hit six major U.S. cities, with performances scheduled at prestigious venues like Madison Square Garden in New York and the Toyota Center in Houston. The tour coincides with the release of Asake's latest hit, 'Lungu Boy,' which has already made waves in the music industry.
The track features collaborations with global superstars such as Wizkid, British rappers Central Cee and Stormzy, Travis Scott, and Brazilian singer Ludmilla. 'Lungu Boy' shattered records by achieving the biggest opening week on Spotify Nigeria, amassing 18.9 million streams and surpassing the previous record of 14.4 million streams held by Davido’s 'Timeless.'
