Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has expressed his outrage over a misleading headline that falsely associated him with a kidnapping case in Lagos.
A blog on X (formerly Twitter) shared a video of three apprehended kidnappers, with a caption that read:
“Davido and two others apprehended for kidnapping in Lagos.”
The headline, referring to the gang leader’s nickname, left many fans confused, as some assumed it was about the singer himself.
Angered by the misrepresentation, Davido took to social media, warning that karma would soon catch up with those spreading false information.
“One day, drastic action will be taken against these misleading headlines. It won’t be long before karma does its job,” he stated.
This isn’t the first time Davido has been a victim of fake news, and the singer remains vocal about combatting misinformation in the media.
