Dapper Music responds to Shallipopi’s allegations of mismanagement and artist rights abuse, clarifying contract terms and financial transparency.
Dapper Music & Entertainment has officially responded to allegations surrounding Shallipopi’s departure, following claims of distrust, financial mismanagement, and artist rights abuse by the artist, whose real name is Crown Uzama.
In a detailed statement shared on Instagram, the label expressed shock at the accusations, reiterating its commitment to fairness, transparency, and integrity. Addressing Shallipopi’s concerns, the label highlighted that after the success of his debut album, he was given the opportunity to renegotiate his contract with full legal representation. On October 28, 2024, new terms were finalized, allowing him to pursue other ventures while maintaining a collaborative partnership.
Dapper Music also stated that financial records were provided to Shallipopi and confirmed they are cooperating fully with auditors hired by the artist to review the accounts.
Regarding claims involving another artist, Muyeez, allegedly signing a contract as a minor, the label clarified that the agreement was legally executed with his guardian’s consent and proper witnesses.
The label’s response has added a new layer to the unfolding drama, leaving fans speculating on what comes next for Shallipopi and Dapper Music.
