“Please help me. I don’t want to end up in jail. Help me ask Funke Akindele for forgiveness,” he said. He clarified that the original video was misrepresented and that his comments were taken out of context. “The video that’s being shared was edited. That’s not how I recorded it initially. I never meant to damage her image. She didn’t do anything wrong to me,” he explained. The comedian also pointed out that the amount he mentioned was misquoted.

Earlier, the comedian, Ijoba Lande claimed in a viral video that he worked for Funke Akindele at Amen Estate for an entire month and was only paid ₦90,000. He admitted that he didn’t negotiate the payment properly because he was thrilled to work with her. “I was so excited to work with Aunty Funke that I didn’t think to charge her. I didn’t want to come off as difficult,” he shared. He also attributed his lack of education to signing a document that stated his monthly salary.

Ijoba Lande apology shows he’s open to repairing their relationship and keeping the peace in the entertainment world. Funke Akindele, a well-known name in the industry, hasn’t said anything publicly yet, but fans are really hoping for a chance to see these two talents reconcile.
