Chidimma Adetshina Named Miss Universe Africa and Oceania 2024

Nigeria’s Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina has been crowned Miss Universe Africa and Oceania at the 2024 Miss Universe pageant. Adetshina finished as the first runner-up behind Miss Denmark, Victoria Kjær Theilvig, at the competition’s 73rd edition held in Mexico. This achievement makes her the first Miss Universe Nigeria to reach the top two on the global stage.

Adetshina previously withdrew from the Miss South Africa contest after facing scrutiny over her nationality, later winning Miss Nigeria to secure her place on the global platform.
