Chelsea’s Cole Palmer wins England Men’s Player of the Year
Chelsea forward Cole Palmer wins England Men’s Player of the Year for 2023/24, beating Jude Bellingham and Bukayo Saka after a standout season for club and country.
Chelsea’s rising star Cole Palmer has been named the England Men’s Player of the Year for 2023/24, an honor announced by the English FA on Tuesday. The 22-year-old forward outshined competition from Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, securing the award through fan voting.
Palmer has made waves on the international stage since his England debut in November 2023. His performances have been nothing short of spectacular, scoring on his first start against Bosnia and Herzegovina in May 2024 and later delivering England’s only goal in their 2-1 defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final. His contributions didn’t stop there; Palmer provided a key assist in England's semifinal win over the Netherlands, solidifying his role as a standout player.
At the club level, Palmer’s form has been equally impressive. After netting 22 goals in the Premier League last season, he’s already added six more in just seven appearances this campaign. Now, with the England squad preparing for upcoming UEFA Nations League clashes against Greece and Finland, Palmer's star continues to rise.
