About the Role

We are looking for a talented Content Writer (News Reporter) to join our team. You will be responsible for researching, writing, and publishing breaking news, trending stories, and in-depth reports on African politics, entertainment, and viral moments. Responsibilities:

✔️ Write at least 8 news stories daily and 2 unique feature articles per week
✔️ Cover breaking news, trending topics, and viral events across Africa and the world
✔️ Ensure all content is accurate, well-researched, and engaging
✔️ Optimize articles for SEO using relevant keywords and meta descriptions
✔️ Follow The African Media’s editorial guidelines and maintain journalistic integrity
✔️ Monitor social media and news sources for emerging stories

Requirements:

🔹 Proven experience as a journalist, content writer, or news reporter
🔹 Strong understanding of African news, entertainment, and trending topics
🔹 Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
🔹 Ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high-quality content quickly
🔹 Familiarity with WordPress, Yoast SEO, and social media platforms
🔹 Strong research skills and ability to verify sources
