Breaking: Nigeria military threatens to step in

The Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), Christopher Musa, pledged on Friday that the Nigerian army will intervene should the current protest intensify. When Musa was answering inquiries from media on the amount of violence observed throughout the nation thus far, he revealed this.

Nigerians have been demonstrating against poverty, hunger, and other socioeconomic stresses in their nation since yesterday. Hoodlums on Thursday took advantage of the situation and took over the protest to plunder and vandalize people's property. Musa responded to the issue by saying that the military is ready to act if the demonstration gets out of control.

Remember that the National Council for Civil Society of Nigeria received praise from Minister of Defense Mohammed Badaru Abubakar for abstaining from the current protests.

He emphasized the several measures taken by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to improve the economy and benefit all Nigerians. "After just a year in office, he has performed admirably, and I am confident that these initiatives will soon begin to yield positive results."
