Bollywood Veteran Actor Manoj Kumar dies at 87, on April 4, 2025 in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital due to cardiogenic shock from a severe heart attack, worsened by decompensated liver cirrhosis, according to several reports. The veteran Bollywood actor, Manoj Kuma is known for patriotic films like Upkar (1967), Purab Aur Paschim (1970), and Kranti (1981) shaped Indian cinema, often reflecting themes of national pride and social values, earning him the Padma Shri in 1992 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2015.

Kumar’s health problems were traced by to his long-term liver issues; decompensated cirrhosis, a late-stage liver disease, often results from chronic hepatitis or scarring, leading to complications like portal hypertension and liver failure.
His work inspired Bollywood figures like Ajay Devgn, whose father, Veeru Devgan, got his break as an action director in Kumar’s Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, highlighting Kumar’s role in shaping careers in Indian cinema.
