Bobrisky May Face New Criminal Charges Over Alleged Bribery Claims
Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky could face fresh charges for bribery and defamation following allegations of bribing EFCC officials and serving jail time in a private apartment.
According to the Punch Newspaper controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, may face new criminal charges following allegations that he bribed officials of the EFCC to drop money laundering charges and served his prison sentence in a private apartment.
A panel investigating these claims has recommended defamation and criminal charges. Bobrisky, sentenced to six months for naira abuse, was released in August 2024. The accusations surfaced after a voice note shared by social critic Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, alleged the bribes.
