BNXN Dismisses Assault Allegations in South Africa

Nigerian singer Daniel Benson, popularly known as BNXN, has strongly denied reports claiming he was assaulted in South Africa. Viral videos circulating online suggested that the singer was involved in a physical altercation in Cape Town, with some reports alleging he was punched by a group of men. However, BNXN has dismissed the claims as “fake news.”

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle, BNXN wrote, “Na only if I sleep. Ahead of all of you for life!”—implying that the allegations were baseless and that he remained unbothered by the rumors.

BNXN posted;

The viral clips that fueled the speculation have yet to be verified, and no concrete evidence has emerged to confirm the alleged attack. Some social media users have speculated that the videos were either misleading or taken out of context.

The Afrobeats performer later continued with another post emphasizing how fake news trends. He wrote;

BNXN’s swift response to the rumors reflects his unwillingness to let false narratives spread about him. The Afrobeats star, known for hit songs like “Gwagwalada” and “Finesse,” has been in the spotlight for his music and collaborations rather than controversies.

Despite the growing attention on the alleged incident, the singer continues to focus on his career. Neither his management nor South African authorities have commented on the matter.

As the story unfolds, fans are standing by BNXN, with many calling out blogs and social media pages for spreading unverified claims.
