Bizarre! 29 year old man kills father, buries remains

Niger Police Command agents in the Kpakungu division have detained 29-year-old Mizanmil Abubakar on suspicion of killing his 65-year-old father, Abubakar Adawa, and burying his severed body in a shallow grave.

SP In a statement released on Tuesday in Minna, Waisu Abiodun stated that the murder was found after the Kpakungu police division received a report of the 66-year-old man going missing from his home in the Barkin-Sale neighborhood of Minna.

According to a police spokeswoman, when police officers from the division headed by the Divisional Police Officer went to the residence, they invited 29-year-old Mizanmil Abubakar and his mother, Aisha Abubakar, to be questioned.

"The entire compound was thoroughly searched, and surprisingly, the missing person's severed body was discovered buried in a shallow grave within the compound," the speaker stated.

 Abiodun claimed that the dead man detested him and that he had admitted to being the one who killed his father in a horrific manner. According to the spokeswoman, the suspect admitted to killing the victim, chopping him into pieces with a hoe, and burying him in a small grave inside the compound. He claimed that the division was conducting a preliminary investigation and that the suspect will shortly be moved to SCID Minna for additional examination and prosecution. (NAN).
