President Joe Biden made his first public appearance in six days on Tuesday as he departed isolation in Delaware to return to the White House.

The 81-year-old had been absent from the public eye since his shocking announcement on Sunday that he was dropping out of the 2024 presidential race, sparking numerous conspiracy theories.

His last appearance was last Wednesday when he exited Air Force One in Dover to begin isolation after being diagnosed with COVID-19. On Monday, only his voice was heard during a call to his former campaign office.

On Tuesday, Biden emerged from his SUV wearing a mask, told the press he is "well," and then slowly made his way to the stairs of Air Force One, heading back to Washington D.C. for the first time since ending his 2024 bid.

"Watch and listen. Why don’t you wait and hear what I say," he replied when asked about his message for his Wednesday night speech.

However, when questioned about his decision to drop out of the presidential race, Biden just laughed and walked away, slipping on his aviator sunglasses before getting into the Beast.

Before his public appearance, Biden's physician announced that the president had recovered from COVID-19.

"The President's symptoms have resolved. Over the course of his infection, he never manifested a fever, and his vital signs remained normal, including pulse oximetry. His lungs remained clear. BINAX rapid antigen testing is negative," said Dr. Kevin O'Connor.

Signs that the campaign had progressed were evident, with banners displaying 'Harris for President,' 'Kamala,' and 'Restore Roe' adorning the office walls.

Democratic legislators, donors, and grassroots supporters have rallied around Harris, who stands to become the first woman and woman of color elected as the U.S. president.

Biden will address the nation from the Oval Office on Wednesday evening to discuss his decision to exit the presidential race.
