In a dramatic twist on Big Brother Naija, contestant Chinwe has clarified her earlier comments about supporting her boyfriend Zion's entry into the show. This comes after a fallout between the couple on Thursday, when Chinwe accused Zion of not backing her during a confrontation with fellow housemates Onyeka and Chizoba.
During a candid conversation with DJ Flo on Thursday, Chinwe vented her frustration, hinting at regrets about choosing Zion as her companion on the show instead of her best friend. She mentioned being instrumental in their journey to the reality show, which sparked speculation.
However, during the eviction show on Sunday night, host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu addressed the controversy by asking Chinwe directly, “Why did you say you sponsored Zion to the house?”
Chinwe denied making any claims about financially sponsoring Zion, explaining that her comments were misunderstood. She clarified that her role was one of emotional support, as Zion was initially hesitant about participating in the show.
