BBN: Cultists forced me to drop out of university’ – Mayor Frosh
Evicted Big Brother Naija housemate Mayor Frosh reveals he dropped out of Unilag due to cultist harassment. Discover his candid story of survival and resilience in the face of intimidation.
Mayor Frosh, the recently evicted housemate from Big Brother Naija, has opened up about the troubling events that led to his departure from the University of Lagos (Unilag). In an exclusive interview with Hero Daniels, Frosh revealed the dark side of campus life, sharing that he was relentlessly bullied by cultists who sought to recruit him into their ranks. The pressure and threats became so intense that he was forced to abandon his studies at Unilag.
Reflecting on the harrowing experience, Frosh recounted, “There was a cult incident between 2016 and 2017. Cultism was still rampant in some schools. I was attacked, and my belongings were taken from me as a way to intimidate me into joining them.” Unable to bear the constant fear and harassment, he made the difficult decision to leave Unilag and seek refuge in a private university, where his parents ensured he could continue his education in a safer environment.
Frosh's story sheds light on the pervasive issue of cultism in Nigerian universities, a problem that has forced many students like him to make life-altering decisions. Despite the challenges, Frosh remains determined to use his platform to raise awareness and inspire others to stand strong in the face of such adversity.
