In a heart-wrenching attack, at least three Christian worshipers were tragically killed in an unprovoked assault by ruthless bandits in Bakinpah-Maro, a community in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The attackers, arriving in large numbers, stormed the ECWA and Catholic churches during Sunday service, leaving a trail of devastation.
Around 31 people, including a pastor, were abducted by the heavily armed assailants, who unleashed gunfire as they targeted worshipers. Among those kidnapped was Pastor Bernard Gajera, whose fate remains uncertain.
Cafra Caino, a former chairman of Kajuru LGA, confirmed the incident, describing the brutal attack that unfolded around 10 a.m. Efforts to reach Kaduna State Police for more details have so far been unsuccessful. This latest tragedy deepens the ongoing security crisis in the region, leaving the community in mourning.
