Bandit kingpin Ibrahim Daji killed in Zamfara

Ibrahim Daji, a notorious bandit leader infamous for his reign of terror in Zamfara State, has been killed in Kwanar Nasir, Gusau Local Government Area, according to reports from Zagazola Makama, a publication specializing in counter-insurgency in the Lake Chad region. Daji met his end on Sunday at the hands of members of a rival faction, with his body reportedly left at the scene.

Daji was notorious for orchestrating violent attacks along the Kwatarkwashi-Mada road and other nearby areas, with his stronghold situated in Shangel village, just east of Mada town. He gained infamy not only for his attacks but also for his alleged role in the kidnapping trade, where he would buy abducted victims in Gusau, solidifying his power within the region's criminal networks.

In addition to his violent activities, Daji harbored other criminals, including the infamous Bello Taggoje, in his Shangel residence, further expanding his influence.
