Ayew moves from Crystal Palace to Leicester
Jordan Ayew became Leicester City's sixth transfer of the summer after his move from Crystal Palace was completed.
After Jordan Ayew's transfer from Crystal Palace was finalized, he became Leicester City's sixth acquisition of the transfer window. Arriving in the East Midlands for an initial £5 million ($9.3 million) price, Ayew made 212 appearances for the Eagles. Depending on performance, that amount might increase to £7.5 million ($14.6 million). Alongside Jamie Vardy, the 32-year-old provides Steve Cooper with another seasoned presence in the front positions as the Foxes get ready to face Fulham this weekend. Ayew has made 275 appearances in the Premier League for three separate teams. Of the teams he has played for, Palace has scored the most goals in the English top division (23 goals).
Last season, he made 37 appearances for the Eagles, recording 11 goal involvements (four goals and seven assists), with the best assist total in the Palace team. "I'm proud and thrilled to be here. I'm grateful to the club for their tireless efforts in getting me here; it occurred swiftly, and I'm thrilled to be here," Ayew remarked. When a player learns that their manager is interested in them, it only motivates them to work with him and attempt to get better. "As a player, you constantly want to grow and get better, even at 32. I'm here to put in a lot of effort and support the team in reaching its goals.
