Awka Ibom state Governor appoints daughter as First Lady after the death of his wife

Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has named his daughter, Mrs. Helen Eno Obareki, as the Acting First Lady following the death of his wife, Pastor Patience Umo Eno.
This announcement took place during a condolence visit from Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and other dignitaries in Uyo on Friday, October 4.
Governor Eno shared, “I married her when she was 19, and I was 22. I called her Oluwa-Kemi because she was truly a gift from God. We faced many challenges together, and her loss is irreplaceable for me.” He added that Helen will help continue his late wife’s work and will collaborate with the Deputy Governor and the Commissioner for Women’s Affairs and Social Welfare.
