Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has finally spoken out after weeks of silence following the announcement of her separation from her estranged husband, Innocent “2Face” Idibia. Earlier this January, 2Baba revealed that he and Annie had been living apart for some time. This situation led him to file for divorce. She has taken to her Instagram account.

Amidst swirling rumors about her well-being, which included speculation that she was in a rehabilitation facility, Annie had kept a low profile. She also remained inactive on social media platforms. However, in a noticeable return to the spotlight earlier today, she took the bold step of deleting all her past posts.
In her heartfelt message, she expressed deep gratitude toward her family, friends, and supporters worldwide, who stood by her during this challenging time. Strikingly, when signing off the message, Annie chose to omit Idibia from her name. This move speaks volumes about her current state of mind.
“To my family, to my friends who came through for me, the support system I have now, all my amazing family HERE and all over the world—God bless you for the outpouring of love. I appreciate every single one of you and do not take any of it for granted. May the universe continue to be in your favor. God bless you all. Lots of love, Annie Uwana Macaulay,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, 2Baba has entered a new chapter in his life. He is reportedly moving on with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru. In the midst of this new relationship, he has been vocal about wanting to clarify the circumstances surrounding his marriage’s dissolution. He stressed that Natasha had no role in the breakdown of his marriage with Annie. “Everybody is going to be alright and everyone is fine; there is no fight or quarrel. I said what I said,” he stated.
Idibia further defended Natasha amid backlash. He stated, “Honourable Natasha has been called names and labeled a homewrecker. She is a young, brilliant, and amazing woman, and she had nothing to do with what’s happening in my marriage to Annie. Yes, I love her. She’s amazing and cool, and I want to marry her.”
Annie and 2Baba were married for 12 years after tying the knot in 2012. They share two beautiful daughters together. This chapter in their lives closes as they both seek to redefine their futures.
