Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia Set Off Osimhen's €120m Release Condition For Summer Transfer
In order to make a summer transfer, Moneybag Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia reportedly intends to trigger Victor Osimhen's release clause from Napoli.
According to reports, Moneybag Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia are prepared to activate Victor Osimhen's release clause from Napoli in order to make a summer transfer. Numerous elite European teams have expressed interest in signing Osimhen, and it has been stated that Napoli is willing to let go of the Nigerian this summer. They will only comply, though, if a team activates his enormous €120 million (£101 million/$129 million) release clause. This has turned away Chelsea and Paris-Saint-Germain, two of his biggest admirers.
It's very likely that Osimhen will depart from Napoli this summer. Since the Saudi club was willing to activate Al-Ahli's release clause, he might be the Nigerian's best option. It's also rumored that Napoli won't likely lower their asking price to any club this summer. The transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, stated late on Sunday night on his X handle that the Saudis were prepared to match the price and had made an initial approach for Osimhen to Napoli, but no deal had yet been achieved.
The Nigerian enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2022–2023 with Napoli, helping them win the Serie A title for the first time since 1990 with 26 goals and five assists in 32 games. But Osimhen's play has generally deteriorated this season, and his departure from Napoli seems inevitable due to issues with the board.
