Adekunle Olopade Reveals Why Ilebaye’s Big Brother All-Stars Win Was Personal
Former BBNaija star Adekunle Olopade shares the emotional reason why Ilebaye’s All-Stars victory holds special meaning for him, stemming from a decision he made during the ‘Level Up’ season.
Former Big Brother Naija reality star Adekunle Olopade has opened up about why his colleague Ilebaye’s victory in the All-Stars edition of the show was deeply personal to him.
Speaking in a recent media chat with Kellyrae, Jeff, and Topher, Adekunle reflected on a decision he made during the ‘Level Up’ season that led to Ilebaye’s early eviction.
“Ilebaye’s win in All Stars is personal to me. I’m genuinely happy she won, and here’s why. During ‘Level Up,’ I was Head of House, and our season was different—Heads of House had to nominate housemates for eviction. I nominated Ilebaye, and she got evicted in the third week,” he explained.
Adekunle also recalled feeling guilty after their time in the house when fans seemed to overlook Ilebaye. “When we left the house, fans were trying to greet us, but Ilebaye was standing by the gate, and people were walking past her. I felt responsible because I was the one who nominated her.
“So, when we returned for All-Stars, seeing her again made me happy. And when she won, it felt like redemption for her and relief for me,” he concluded.
Adekunle’s heartfelt revelation has resonated with fans, further highlighting the deep connections and emotions involved in the BBNaija experience.
