Nollywood’s Stephen Alajemba, known as Uwaezuoke, claims marrying fewer than three wives is sinful and could be dangerous for men. Read his full remarks and the reactions.
Nollywood veteran Stephen Alajemba, famously known as Uwaezuoke, has made a controversial statement regarding marriage, asserting that it is sinful for a man to have fewer than three wives.
In a recent interview with Ugwumba TV, the actor explained his belief, stating, “It’s a sin to marry one or two wives. But if you marry three or four, you will be free from sin.”
Alajemba elaborated on his reasoning, claiming that marrying only one or two wives increases the risk of being poisoned due to potential conspiracies between the spouses. He argued that having three or more wives ensures harmony, as each wife would focus on her own affairs, with the man maintaining balance by equally providing for them and taking turns in their company.
The actor’s comments have sparked debate, adding to discussions about polygamy and marital practices in contemporary society.
