AC Milan Submits Improved bid for Fofana
AC Milan has made a revised and improved proposal for Youssouf Fofana this afternoon in an effort to finalize a deal to capture the midfielder this summer. More than anything else, the Fofana scandal has frustrated many Milan supporters by dragging on for far too long.
In an attempt to seal a deal to sign Youssouf Fofana this summer, AC Milan has placed a revised and enhanced bid for the player this afternoon. The Fofana controversy has dragged on for far too long, frustrating many Milan supporters more than anything else. It hasn't been for lack of effort, though, and the Rossoneri have performed admirably under hard circumstances. Given that the Frenchman's contract expires at the end of the upcoming season and that Monaco believes he is worth €35 million, the Diavolo have made proposals of less than €20 million up to this point, so they are unwilling to match this amount.
However, according to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Milan has made a second offer to Monaco for more than €20 million. This new offer includes certain "difficult" add-ons in addition to a fixed fee of that amount; the possible cost of these add-ons is not disclosed. It remains to be seen if this latest offer will be enough to entice the Monegasque club, but with Milan open to waiting until next summer and the player only wanting the Rossoneri, it is difficult to imagine that much more negotiating will take place. Romano goes on to say that the French club are asking for €25m plus "easy" add-ons.
