Nigerian singer Chike has claimed that Apple Music Nigeria’s top 10 and top 20 charts are often rigged, with artists paying to boost their positions. During an interview on the “Curiosity Made Me Ask” podcast with Bae U Barbie, he explained that while not every song benefits from this manipulation, the majority of chart-topping tracks are influenced by paid streams.
Chike added that with $30,000, he could secure a top spot on the chart, highlighting the competitive nature of the music industry.
