Popular Afrobeat musician and composer Ahmed Ololade, better known by his stage name Asake, has provoked outrage after releasing a video of himself violently smashing a male fan’s iPhone when he was attempting to take a picture with him. After the “Remember” crooner performed his great songs and delighted his listeners with his contagious energy and melodic voice, the incident happened in Paris, France.

The fan, who was obviously excited to see the singer, went up to Asake and put his arm around the singer’s neck in a friendly gesture. He chose to snap a photo with Asake after pulling out his phone, a brand-new iPhone 16 Pro Max valued at about N2.9 million. Asake seized the phone and broke it on the floor, indicating that he does not like this. The moment some individuals were marching on it was captured in the clip. The male fan displayed multiple cracks on his phone to demonstrate how Asake’s actions affected it. The sleek glass back was damaged, but the screen was still in place.
“He did this shit abroad and y’all let him go?” @AfamDeluxo asked. “Person wey Olamide just helped yesterday oo, wey been no see good chop for adugbo that year,” @Tooshugary4U stated. He is now taking pride in smashing people’s phones. anything Davido is unable of doing. “Wizkid is to blame for this,” @MohWorldent stated. “Nigerian yeyebrities and pride, they don’t even appreciate people who love them,” @jennifer_nworie stated. Why is he acting in this manner?
